James Comey just schooled President Donald J. Trump after the Russians embarrassed Trump and America in front of the world. The fired FBI director also sent a message to Vladimir Putin, “The Russian meddling is over”! Do you think that it was a coincidence that the “Comey Memo” came out after the Russian debacle in the White House?
I wonder what James Comey thought of Donald Trump leaking confidential information to Russian Foreign Minster Lavrov and Ambassador Kislyak in the White House. How about Foreign Minster Lavrov commenting on a question from a reporter concerning Comey’s firing to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Lavrov asked sarcastically “Was he fired? You’re kidding, you’re kidding” and began laughing while walking away with Tillerson.
How about the Russians releasing photos by a Russian photographer who was let into the Oval office by President Trump at a request from Vladimir Putin while banning the American press. A few days after the Russian meeting Vladimir Putin mocking Trump on the World Stage by inferring the Russians had taped the meeting with Trump in the White House and offered to release transcripts to Congress to prove Donald Trump did not leak classified intelligence information? Do you think James Comey was concerned with the FBI Russian investigation after watching Donald Trump grandstanding with Russians in the White House, the day after he was fired? How aboout Trump telling the Russians, “I just fired the head of the F.B.I. He was crazy, a real nut job,” Mr. Trump said, according to the document, which was read to The New York Times by an American official. “I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off.”
Mr. Trump added, “I’m not under investigation.”
Let me propose an alternative fact since our President loves alternative facts. James Comey might have been suspicious that Donald Trump had been compromised by the Russians when he was fired. A few day after his firing Trump confirmed Comey’s suspicions. Even after the Russians embarrassed Trump the President did not have anything but kind words for the Russians. Trump attacks everyone who says anything negative about him.
I think James Comey and the FBI just sent a call to arms to everyone in the country with the Comey leaked memo. The FBI closed ranks after James Comey was fired and protected the former Director. When Donald Trump actually told Lester Holt the Russian investigation was on his mind when he fired Comey, alarms went off at the FBI. James Comey felt so strong about the Russian involvement in our elections he was willing to testify before an open session of congress challenging President Trump and possibly creating a constitutional crisis.We know Donald Trump asked Comey for a loyalty pledge and to drop the Flynn investigation. Sources say Comey felt uncomfortable by the Presidents behavior. What if Comey had seen evidence of collusion with the Russians at the top levels in the White House? Who do you think James Comey’s – Obi- Wan Kenboi might be to help guide him through this historical investigation? Maybe his mentor Robert Mueller? The man that Comey stood up with against the Bush Administration on illegal wire tapping. Remember, these are alternative facts or as our President frequently says “Fake News”. Pure speculation on my part.
I suspect Robert Mueller has been guiding James Comey throughout the investigation and it is not a coincidence that he was named Special Counsel by Rod Rosenstein. The FBI has now isolated Donald Trump and Jeff Sessions from the Russian investigation. Robert Mueller now has he resources and independence to find the truth. The truth for the American people who deserve it from our Government.
Do you think Mueller might need his former protege James Comey throughout the rest of the investigation? I wonder if President Trump sees the irony in all of this? America owes a great debt of gratitude to the men and women of the FBI for protecting the United against foreign and domestic enemies and protecting the US Constitution. America owes James Comey a big thank you for standing up to the Russians as they walked all over President Trump while the Republican cowards were just burying their heads in the sand. James Comey did something for his country.
They say a picture is worth a 1000 words. This picture of Trump, Lavrov and Kislyak laughing as though they got away with something in the Oval Office. Do you think this is when Trump is telling them, “I just fired the head of the F.B.I. He was crazy, a real nut job,” “I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off.” This photo may be the beginning of the end to the Trump’s Presidency.
